IDN (Internationalized Domain Name) Spoofing, also known as IDN homograph attack, is a way in which a malicious party may deceive users about what website they are communicating with by exploiting the way in which many different characters look alike. For example, users who want to go to citysearch.com may actually click a link where the Latin C is replaced with the Cyrillic С, and thus be forwarded to a completely different website.
