Wifi for Business Travelers Raises Threats to Traveling Data

Business travelers who use wifi to work on the road – whether at an airport gate, in a coffee shop, or even in their hotel rooms – are increasingly vulnerable to serious security threats. The New York Times reports “many organizations also require their employees to use virtual private networks, which lower the risk of interception when accessing public wireless sites,” since VPNs (such as PRIVATE WiFi™) send data through an encrypted tunnel.
