Wifi usage at Boston’s Logan International Airport rose 412% in 2010 compared to the previous year. According to this blog on Boston.com, there were 1.4 million sessions logged in 2010, compared to 349,381 in 2009. The explanation for such a large jump is that a free wifi system was unveiled for airport travelers in January 2010.  It is supported by advertising that users must view before accessing the Internet.
