Don’t want a virus on your computer?

Listen to this new warning from the Federal Trade Commission, which is now warning small businesses about an email with the subject line “URGENT: Pending Consumer Complaint.”

Turns out, this email is from a computer thief, not from the FTC.

The FTC says this bogus email claims that someone has filed some type of consumer complaint against their company.

However, the FTC warns small business owners this email scam is not to be believed.

Consumers are warned not to not click on any of the links or attachments with the fraudulent email. Clicking on the links may install a virus or other malware on the computer.

Instead of opening the email, the FTC advises, simply delete the email.
