Counterterrorism remains the FBI’s top priority because of dangers posed by organized cyber-crime, rogue hacktivists, and computer breaches backed by foreign governments, according to the Associated Press.

The director of the FBI told an annual gathering of cyber-security professionals that cyber-threats may surpass terrorism as the country’s top concern.

The AP article — which says the time will come when no company can boast it was immune from “digital incursions” — also includes this alarming quote:

“There are only two types of companies: Those that have been hacked, and those that will be.”
