Arizona’s Attorney General Receives First Department of Justice ‘Identity Theft Grant’

Arizona’s Attorney General recently held a news conference to drive home the importance of protecting online passwords, Social Security numbers, and other highly personal information.

According to this article, the Attorney General’s Office in Arizona is the first to receive a Department of Justice grant to prevent identity theft.

It is expected the office will create new programs that will serve to protect consumers and make crimes easier to report.

The Attorney General suggests consumers closely monitor their credit information and banking records for suspicious activity, especially during December when more and more people are looking for deals online.
